Cemeteries & Trees

The Cemeteries Division, under the supervision of the Board of Park Commissioners, is tasked with the maintenance and preservation of Fall River's two public cemeteries, Oak Grove Cemetery and North Burial Ground, both of which are notable historical sites listed on the National Registry of Historic Places. Oak Grove Cemetery, spanning over 120 acres in the city's historic Highlands neighborhood, serves as the final resting place for many of Fall River's most distinguished citizens. In contrast, North Burial Ground, occupying over 30 acres, is situated on North Main St., nestled between Brightman and Cory Streets, continuing the city's legacy of honoring the past through meticulous upkeep of these sacred grounds.
